Is Justin Bieber Flipping The Bird At The ‘Beached Whale’ Story? [Updated]

Update:

Multiple outlets are reporting that a female fan who was turned away by Bieber’s bodyguards after trying to access the VIP area of the Hyatt Regency Hotel pool in Perth, Australia where the singer was located, fabricated the “beached whale” story. [Full Details at end of text here.]

This further raises the question of how two purported witnesses were cited in news.com.au’s report, which the outlet has not yet updated.

Gossip Cop report multiple witnesses deny any such insult happened, while Hollyscoop report that a non-Bieber camp eyewitness stated the pop star only interacted with his crew and a blonde girl he had a brief but pleasant exchange with.

Justin Bieber impressed millions this week when he extended his just wrapped Believe tour to play a surprise show in the Typhoon Haiyan-hit Philippines.

However, on returning to the US the star posted a photo of himself flipping the bird and aimed at a broad constituency colloquially known as — “haters.”

Justin uploaded the Instagram on Thursday. The said photo shows the 19-year-old holding up two middle fingers while sitting next to a presumed pal.

Captioned “4 the haters,” speculation as to what, where, or whom the Canadian singer is directing his message to continues.

While Bieber wouldn’t have to look too far to find a critic he might want to flip a bird at, it’s possible he was expressing frustration at the latest false rumor to land at his door.

Originating in Australia, the star has been accused of calling a young girl a “beached whale” while allegedly hanging out by the pool deck at Perth’s Hyatt Regency Hotel last Sunday during his last official Believe tour stop.

Purported witness, Helen Robinett, told Australian outlet news.com.au: “Justin looked over at her and said ‘What are you, Hawaiian or something?’ She said ‘No, I’m not.’ Then he said ‘You look like a beached whale.'”

The outlet later claimed a second, unnamed witness corroborated Robinett’s accusation.

Yet the two accounts differed on one key detail: the purported, new witness alleged Bieber made a gesture with his hands “to imitate a large belly as he spoke to the long-haired girl.”

Robinett not only didn’t mention this gesture in her story, in a later radio interview she gave to a Sydney station she claimed Bieber cursed at the girl repeatedly

The second witness did not recall any profanity.

In addition, multiple eyewitnesses have since come forward and told Gossip Cop that there is “no truth” to the claims. Meanwhile, a source close to Bieber also told the website: “This is a complete fabrication.”

Footage of Bieber hanging out with members of his crew and apparently larking about with a fuller sized blonde at the hotel on the day in question, seemingly revealed a singer focused on relaxing before his last show — and nothing more.

At press time the number of outlets reporting the denials of the “beached whale” claim is markedly less than the many that jumped on the original claim, repeated it wholesale and assumed its veracity.

In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Bieber said [some of] the media were bullies who called him names and believed the worst about him without factual basis.

Given the reported flaws in the “beached whale” claim and multiple denials that followed, is Bieber’s flipped bird the response of a young man who no longer believes the “bullies” will ever change?
