‘Bachelor’ Producer Elan Gale Admits Airplane Feud With ‘Diane’ Was A Hoax

The Bachelor producer Elan Gale has confessed that his mid-air feud with a fellow passenger named Diane was a hoax.

Gale was supposedly on a delayed US Airways flight on Thanksgiving when an angry passenger began yelling at staff about missing her connecting flight.

“Our flight is delayed,” Gale tweeted. “A woman on here is very upset because she has Thanksgiving plans. She is the only one obviously. Praying for her.”

When Diane told a male flight attendant that she wanted to have dinner with her family, he said he was looking forward to seeing his family as well. Diane responded, “This isn’t about you.”

Gale then sent Diane a note reading, “Dear Lady in 7A, it has come to my attention that today is your ‘Thanksgiving!’ It must be hard to not be with your family. Please accept this glass of wine. It is a gift from me to you.”

The two exchanged notes back and forth, with Diane telling Gale he was an “awful person with no compassion.” The feud continued, with Gale asking the US Airways Twitter to remove Diane from the plane and closing another note with “eat my d***.”

When the flight landed in Phoenix, Diane slapped Gale, and a gate agent asked if he wanted to have her arrested. He declined and said he was satisfied knowing she missed her flight to Sacramento.

The alleged feud quickly went viral, and late Monday night Elan Gale tweeted, “So many questions unanswered about Diane. In 15 minutes I will post the photo and hopefully we can resolve all this.”

Gale then tweeted:

Several bloggers questioned why Gale’s account wasn’t scrutinized further, especially considering his history. Last year, Gale live-tweeted a blind date that never happened.
