‘Almost Human’ Full Trailer Is Very Cinematic And Incredibly Cool [Video]

Bad Robot’s full trailer for the television series Almost Human is quite good.

Although the show debuts on FOX later this month, you’d almost swear it was a feature-length motion picture headed to your local neighborhood multiplex. It’s honestly that good. Of course, this is coming from someone who absolutely adores just about everything Karl Urban does. Don’t let this bias cloud your own judgment of the clip.

In case you haven’t heard, Almost Human tells the story of a cop (Urban) who ends up with an android partner named Dorian (Michael Ealy). Since the network has a lot riding on the new series, they’re breaking up the premiere into two separate action-packed episodes on two different nights.

Curious viewers can catch part one on Sunday night (November 17). If this episode floats your boat, then you can tune in for the second part on Monday (November 18). If you need some incentive to watch Bad Robot’s new series, then have a look at the full trailer embedded below. Again, it’s very entertaining.

Check out this synopsis provided by Coming Soon:

“The new series is set in 2048, when police officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. ‘Almost Human’ will follow the week-to-week missions of John Kennex, a detective and sole survivor of a devastating police ambush, and his robot partner, Dorian, as this buddy-cop duo solve cases and fight to keep the lid on dangerously evolved criminals in this futuristic landscape.”

Star Karl Urban and Michael Ealy recently told Hypable that they were initially excited about the project as soon as they read the script for the pilot episode. While Urban was reportedly drawn to the show’s futuristic setting, Ealy loved the idea of playing an android.

“The opportunity to play a character like Dorian doesn’t come along very often. I’m not the biggest sci-fi guy. [Robotic immortality] is an interesting concept for me, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it,” Ealy explained.

Urban added, “One of the aspects that I find most challenging is the physicality of it. We shot an absolutely amazing sequence. I tell you, the next day, both of us couldn’t move!”
