Karlie Kloss: ‘Every Inch’ Of Her Body Measured For Victoria’s Secret Outfit [Video]

Karlie Kloss will be wearing another controversial outfit at this Wednesday’s eagerly anticipated Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Kloss, 21, showed off her costume to The Cut, which comprises a pink bra, skimpy briefs, ‘huge’ ‘psychedelic’ wings, topped with matching patterned gloves and thigh-high boots.

In a one-minute-long video interview, Karlie explains that she went for her first fitting in April and ‘every inch’ of her body was measured.

Costume designer Jeff Fender and his Brooklyn-based team hand-painted Miss Kloss’ six-foot-wide ‘wings’, gloves and boots in a mix of colorful shades including yellows, oranges, reds and greens.

While trying them on in a studio, Miss Kloss exclaimed: ‘I feel like Wonder Woman… Superwoman.’ She added that the wing’s are made from a ‘really light fabric that just flies when I walk.’

Miss Kloss will wear the outfit for the ‘British Invasion’ section of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which will launch the annual show. Monica Mitro, executive vice president of communications and events at Victoria’s Secret, told Womens’ Wear Daily that the segment will celebrate ‘all things British.

Karlie Kloss, 21, was named a Victoria’s Secret’s ‘Angel’ in March, making her one of the brand’s most visible spokeswomen. The six foot one inch blonde – whose boyfriend is Ivanka Trump’s brother-in-law Josh Kushner – has been appearing in shows for the lingerie label since 2011.

This year, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is scheduled to take place at the 69th Regiment Armory in Manhattan. The show is an invitation only affair, and footage will be shown on CBS on December 10. Last year, more than 12 million U.S. viewers tuned in to watch the show and it aired in more than 180 countries.

Victoria’s Secret spokesperson Ms. Mitro says this year’s show budget will be ‘higher’ than 2012’s, which reportedly topped the $12 million mark.

Last year, the outfit worn by Karlie Kloss, which had a “Native American” theme, caused considerable controversy due to the Native American style feather head dress. This year, she might only upset some superhero fans.
