Amal Alamuddin has been identified as George Clooney’s new lady friend, and she would fit right in with his high-powered girlfriends.
As Hollywood’s foremost bachelor, Clooney has dated a string of famous and powerful women that most recently included WWE star and Dancing With the Stars contestant Stacy Keibler.
Recently he had been seen with an unknown brunette woman, but E! has identified the mystery woman as British lawyer Amal Alamuddin. While she may not be a Hollywood star, Alamuddin has a pretty high profile in her field.
Alamuddin specializes in international law and human rights, and right now she’s representing WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is seeking to fight extradition to Sweden.
Aside from her work in the courtroom, Alamuddin has worked on international rights cases and has been a frequent adviser to the United Nations, even offering guidance on the civil war in Syria.
She would seem to fit right in with Clooney , himself a human rights activist who has spent a considerable amount of time and money on causes that help sub-Saharan Africa.
Amal Alamuddin matches up in the looks department with Clooney as well. She has been described as “model-esque,” and in 2013 was named most eligible barrister bachelorette in all of London.
She does have some Hollywood connections, at least online. Ashton Kutcher actually follows her on Twitter.
To add to the impressive resume, Amal Alamuddin is trilingual, speaking fluent English, Arabic, and French.
Of course, talk that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are dating is still just that — talk. The two were spotted having dinner together, but it’s not been confirmed if they are actually an item. After all, they could have just been meeting to discuss humanitarian relief efforts in the Congo.
