Tom Cruise To ‘Go Like Hell’ With ‘Oblivion’ Director Joseph Kosinski

Tom Cruise and Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski will be teaming up again for the new movie Go Like Hell.

The new movie from 20th Century Fox is based on the book “Go Like Hell: Ford,Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans” by A.J. Baimes.

The Wrap reports that Kosinski and Cruise haven’t signed any contract yet. However, Fox is in talks with the Oblivion team to develop Go Like Hell with Cruise in the starring role.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Go Like Hell is a “high priority” for Fox and that the studio expects the movie to be ready sometime next year.

Cruise will be starring in the new movie but it’s unclear what part he’ll take. Yahoo Movies speculates that the actor will play former racing champion Carroll Shelby who was hired by Ford to design a race car that could beat the Enzo Ferrari.

If Cruise does take the role of Shelby, Go Like Hell will be one of two movies focusing on the former champion. Paramount owns the rights to Shelby’s life story and is also developing a story based around the former driver.

But before Cruise jumps into a race car for the new Le Mans movie he’ll be stepping into the old shoes of Ethan Hunt. Cruise will be filming Mission Impossible 5 before he starts working on his new project with Kosinski.
