Jeff Koons Creates Nude Lada Gaga Sculpture For ARTPOP Cover


Jeff Koons created a nude Lady Gaga sculpture for the cover of the singer’s new album ARTPOP.

Lady Gaga revealed the cover today on Twitter, writing: “FULL ARTPOP ALBUM COVER.’One second I’m a Koons, then suddenly the Koons is me!’ #ApplauseJeffKoons.”

The Jeff Koons sculpture will be proudly displayed on the cover of new album as well as digital billboards around the world. The Huffington Post reports that a billboard in Miami revealed small pieces of the cover over a 30-minute span this morning until the full statue was unveiled.

The billboard was also shown in cities like Barcelona and at Time Square in New York.

As for the actual sculpture, MTV reports that the Koons piece will make an appearance at the album release party next month.

Gaga said that the new cover was very personal and that she loved working with Koons.

The singer wrote on Twitter: “Please welcome Jeff Koons into our family +shower him with love for the the talents he has shared with us. A pure and genuine collaborator…. I’m nervous and excited to share something that’s such a piece of my heart. Something I cherish deeply. A real depiction of my mind through his.”
