Miley Cyrus Declares Hannah Montana Dead

During Miley Cyrus’ appearance on SNL, the former Disney teen queen gave fans a solemn proclamation about her once-alter ego… a persona a lot of kids loved when she was the Mouse’s biggest star.

Of course, we’ve all seen Miley Cyrus in an almost-naked ensemble, rubbing up against a married man on live national television. What made it ever more shocking then, of course, was that the bulk of our prior exposure was Miley-as-Hannah. It was almost like a fever dream where she took off the wig and all hell broke loose.

During her Saturday Night Live appearance, Miley joked that Hannah is never coming back — one of those jokes where there’s a whole lot of truth behind it.

The star said:

“There are a few subjects I’m not gonna get into tonight. I’m not gonna do Hannah Montana, but I can give an update on what she’s been up to. She was murdered.”

Cyrus also quipped:

“It is so great to back at SNL… In case anyone was concerned there will be no twerking tonight. I used to think it was cool, but now that white people are doing it it seems kind of lame… I don’t apologize for my VMA performance. If I owe anyone an apology, it’s the people who make the bottom half of shirts.”

When MTV’s Miley: The Movement aired later on the music network, the star put paid to any hope she was returning to her wig and safe-for-daytime programming, saying:

“I thought after my show I was gonna act… I did one movie and I came back and said, ‘I’m never doing that again. I’m going to do music for the rest of my life.’ ”

Just in case you had any hope Miley Cyrus would return as Hannah, the star also did a 50 Shades Of Gray spoof, likely tanking her Hannah reunion show prospects for good.
