Obama Selective Service Forgery: Conservatives Hopeful

Obama Selective Service forgery hopes are on the rise among the openly conservative media.

Right-leaning site Before It’s News posted a story with the headline, “BIG NEWS AL Supreme Court’s Decision May Be The END of Obama—-Forged Selective Service Card” on Friday.

Immediately, our heads started to hurt with flashbacks from the “birther” movement and daily news shots of Donald Trump’s hairpiece.

According to staff writer George Spelvin, “Next Friday, at or before 11:30 am CST, the decision on oral argument in the Barack Obama eligibility case now under deliberation in the Alabama Supreme Court could come down.”

(Okay, first of all, the promise of something that MAY happen if a court determines there is anything there to discuss, is not news. Let us know when an actual decision is made.)

Anyhow, interested parties can call Clerk Julia Weller’s office at 334-229-0700, “but you must ask for this case or you will not receive an answer,” Spelvin writes.

“Ask for status results in the Hugh McInnish, Virgil Goode v. Beth Chapman, Secretary of State. Every Friday morning before noon Clerk Weller receives her Friday document release in cases in front of the nine member Alabama Supreme Court. Additionally, you could also call new Alabama Secretary of State Jim Bennett at 1-800-274-8683 or # 334-242-7200. They may have something for you.”

Before It’s News then names Alabama Republicans McInnish and Goode as the driving forces behind the case, which charges that Secretary of State Beth Chapman failed to properly verify all candidates on the 2012 Alabama election ballots were eligible to serve.

In other words, the Obama Selective Service forgery accusation is nothing that has been proven, but it’s being reported with a sensationalistic headline as if it’s all but true, when you, me, and BIN know full well nothing will come of it.

The frustrating thing about “news” reports like this for people, who aren’t particularly fond of President Obama and his policies, is that they distract from real issues like why this administration has declared war on US citizens’ privacy and the inevitable price hikes of the (hardly) Affordable Care Act.

If you’re like us, you’ve been bombarded with more fruitless “birther” and “radical Muslim” arguments than you can keep up with on social media. For issue-driven citizens, every breath spent on these non-events is a diversion from the legitimate reasons why President Obama’s approval rating has taken a plunge.

Do you think anything will become of the Obama Selective Service forgery accusation, or is this just more conservative saber rattling?
