Jordin Sparks, Jason Derulo Engaged? ‘Marry Me’ Video Raises Questions

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo sparked engagement rumors this week with Derulo’s music video “Marry Me.”

The couple has yet to acknowledge whether the diamond ring involved in the video is for real or not, but that hasn’t stopped the rumors from spreading.

Derulo told E! News in August that his new song really is about Sparks. He explained, “It is about Jordin, actually, and it’s talking about how amazing it will be when I get down on one knee and it will be the greatest moment of my life.”

Cue the “Aww!” noises from the audience. Despite the super sweet proposal in the video (complete with a shirtless Jason Derulo), Jordin Sparks isn’t off the market quite yet.

During a performance on Live with Kelly and Michael on Tuesday, Jason dished that he’s looking forward to proposing in the future.

The video includes stunning shots of both Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo as the real-life couple lounges in bed. It also includes a proposal scene, complete with a rather impressive diamond ring, notes The New York Daily News.

Engagement rumors aren’t unusual for the couple, and Derulo has already knocked them down before. However, if “Marry Me” is anything to go by, we can bet Derulo will get down on one knee and ask Sparks to marry him for real eventually.

Derulo shared a pic of the ring in the video on Twitter, writing, “When the times right my ring for Jordin MAY look something like this Ha!” We wouldn’t put it past him.

It’s no surprise Derulo’s considering marriage with the American Idol alum. He revealed in July that the two can’t stand being apart for more than two weeks. The singer explained, “We have this two-week rule, which is amazing. We never let two weeks pass by without seeing each other, and that really works for us.”

While the “Marry Me” isn’t actually an engagement announcement for Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo, we’re betting it won’t be long before Derulo makes it official.
