Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Could Return To Host Golden Globes

Tina Fey hinted that she and Amy Poehler could return to host the Golden Globes next year.

The duo’s hosting stint at this year’s awards show received positive reviews. Fey and Poehler took aim at everyone from Taylor Swift and Ricky Gervais to James Cameron and Quentin Tarantino. The gig sparked speculation that NBC would ask them back next year.

Last month, a source told Deadline that the network invited Fey and Poehler to host again, but hadn’t entered into serious negotiations. Fey told Access Hollywood at Sunday’s Emmy Awards ceremony that she was planning to discuss hosting next year’s Golden Globes with Poehler.

“Amy and I, we’ll talk about it tonight,” Fey said. “[We’ll do it] if we feel like we have like three more jokes left in our joke bag.”

The 30 Rock star said she doesn’t want to mess up the 2014 awards ceremony.

“NBC invited us back and so we’re going to see if we think we can do it without stinking it up,” the 43-year-old said.

Fey might have some trouble convincing Poehler to host the Golden Globes next year. The Parks and Recreation star recently told USA Today that she wasn’t sure about a second hosting stint.

“I don’t know,” she said. “Who knows?”

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have a long-standing relationship with NBC. They were both cast members on Saturday Night Live, which has been broadcast on the network since its premiere in October 1975. Fey appeared on the show from 2000 until 2006, and Poehler appeared from 2001 to 2008. Fey will be hosting the season 39 premiere of SNL this weekend and said fans will likely see some of her past characters, such as Sarah Palin.

“Because I don’t have anything else,” Fey said. “So, we’re in trouble!”

Tina Fey also starred on 30 Rock from 2006 to 2013, and Amy Poehler has starred on Parks and Rec since 2009.
