Catherine Zeta-Jones Stuns On Red Carpet Without Michael Douglas
Catherine Zeta-Jones didn’t look too heartbroken as she walked the red carpet this weekend in China.
Zeta-Jones, who recently separated from her husband Michael Douglas, was in China’s Shandong province for the opening of a $5 billion film studio. The Oriental Movie Metropolis in the city of Qingdao is being billed as China’s Hollywood and it’s already starting to attract big stars like Zeta-Jones.
The 43-year-old actress walked the red carpet this weekend in two radiant gowns. The first featured a red and blue floral pattern while the second was a little more formal.

The Daily Mail reports that this is Zeta-Jones’ first public appearance since her separation. Michael Douglas will also be walking the red carpet tonight but he’ll be on the other side of the globe. Douglas will be waving to the cameras before the Emmy Awards tonight.
Zeta-Jones won’t be at his side but she may still be rooting for him. The celebrity couple haven’t officially called it quits. A representative said that Catherine and Michael needed to have some time apart so that they could evaluate their marriage.
Zeta-Jones publicist said: “Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage.”
