Miley Cyrus Releases ‘Bangerz’ Album Artwork [Photos]

Miley Cyrus fans have a couple of reasons to be extremely excited this weekend. Not only did the singer unveil the artwork for her album Bangerz, audio from her next single found its way online.

The former Hannah Montana star is currently in the process of dropping her new collection of songs on the masses. To get tongues wagging about the album’s impending release, Cyrus unveiled two different pieces of artwork for her upcoming effort.

The cheesy album art from the 80s seems to be having a resurgence at the moment. Katy Perry appeared to draw inspiration from the era for her “Roar” single. Miley Cyrus is also delving into the decade for her own artwork. The Miami Vice-inspired cover for Bangerz appears to have arrived courtesy of a neon-soaked time machine.

Fans of the singer currently have two options available to them. Cyrus’ impending collection of songs will be available in vanilla and deluxe editions. Bangerz is currently scheduled to hit retail across the nation on October 8. There’s still time to start saving your pennies for the release.

Miley Cyrus has recently been preparing for her upcoming MTV Video Music Awards performance in Brooklyn, New York. The singer told the folks at MTV News that she hopes this year’s performance will be the best one she’s ever given.

“That’s the standard I’m setting. I just think it’s going to be so much fun. [I’m] feeling the energy in rehearsals, it feels so good. It was kind of this crazy dream that we’ve been having this past month, so now to have it come to life is really beautiful,” she explained.

The artwork for Cyrus’ new album can be found below.
