Jenna Wolfe Welcomes Daughter With Partner Stephanie Gosk

Today anchor Jenna Wolfe welcomed a daughter with her partner, Stephanie Gosk, on Wednesday. The new moms didn’t waste any time, debuting their adorable baby girl on The Today Show on Thursday.

Both Wolfe and Gosk announced the birth of their daughter on Twitter Wednesday night. Wolfe commented, “Fell madly in love w Harper Estelle tonight.”

According to the couple, Harper Estelle Wolfeld Gosk was born at 7:31 pm and weighs seven pounds, 13 ounces, reports Today.

Both women appeared beyond ecstatic on Thursday. Jenna, a weekend anchor with Today, told the audience that “this is the greatest gift.”

And Stephanie, an NBC News correspondent, added, “We get paid in our jobs to come up with the right words, and all I keep saying is ‘Wow.’ I can’t find the words.”

Jenna Wolfe initially announced her pregnancy on the show in March, joking, “I’m quite pregnant, actually.” At four months along, the anchor was also able to announce that she and her partner of three years were going to welcome a girl, notes CBS News.

It was also the first time Wolfe spoke publicly about her relationship with Gosk. As she explained in a later interview, “I don’t want to bring my daughter into a world where I’m not comfortable telling everyone who I am and who her mother is.”

Wolfe and Gosk embarked on what they dubbed “Operation Baby” after talking about how they wanted to “share our adventures with a wide-eyed little person.” They didn’t delve into details on how the pregnancy happened. But Wolfe did comment that “despite the morning sickness, it’s been the best decision we’ve ever made.”

The couple’s daughter is named after the Today anchor’s grandmother, Estelle. They also added that they “fell in love” with the name Harper. As for returning to work? It’s likely Jenna Wolfe will want to stay home and enjoy her baby girl just a little while longer.
