Noel Gallagher And Damon Albarn Working Together On A ‘Lot Of Stuff’

Damon Albarn and Noel Gallagher are apparently “working together on a lot of stuff” according to Alex James, the bassist with Blur.

Famously, Albarn and Gallagher were bitter rivals when their bands, Blur and Oasis, were two of the most popular bands in the world.

This saw Gallagher once state that he hoped Albarn would “catch aids and die,” while Albarn recently remarked, “I can’t make up with Noel. Britpop would be over and heaven forbid that we’d ever admit we’d all grown up!”

However after arguing amongst each other for two decades, they then decided to put aside their past differences before performing together at London’s Royal Albert Hall for a Teenage Cancer Trust concert.

Previously, Alex James had revealed that the duo were “like best mates now.” James was taking part in an interview with Irish radio host, Ray D’Arcy, when he stated, “Ironically Noel and Damon are like best mates now. They go off and smoke cigars together. I think we realised we’re all on the same side eventually.”

Now James, who was discussing the pair ahead of Blur’s performance at Sziget Festival in Hungary, which took place last Friday, stated, “Damon and Noel Gallagher are working together on a lot of stuff, so whatever was back then is not relevant anymore.”

He then remarked, “But we have to add that young bands today are all very nice. We were totally intolerable.” James failed to add anymore details on the matter.

Liam Gallagher, who used to play in Oasis alongside his brother, Noel, responded to Noel and Damon’s collaboration by writing on Twitter, “Don’t know what’s worse RKID [Noel] sipping champagne with a war criminal or them backing vocals you’ve just done for BLUE [Blur]!”

The war criminal that Liam refers to in his comments is the former English Prime Minister, Tony Blair, who Noel shared a drink with in 1997 just after he’d been elected.
