10-Year-Old Girl Accused Of Raping 4-Year-Old Boy, Faces Sex Offender List

A 10-year-old girl from Houston has been accused of raping a 4-year-old boy, and now faces being placed onto the sex offender’s list, even though her mother insists that they were just playing.

The crime occurred on the 24 April, however the girl was only arrested last week when a juvenile sex crime investigator began investigating the case.

The girl’s mother has confirmed that the incident took place in the yard of her south west Houston apartment complex, which is located in the 7000 block of Clearwood Street. The woman told KHOU11, “She was just being a child having fun and playing. She didn’t know she was doing anything wrong.”

Officers investigating the case are attempting hide details about the incident, and the only information that they have released are that it involves two juveniles, and one of those sexually assaulted the other.

Other details include that the unnamed girl is 10-years-old, and that she was spotted in tears as police arrested her at her home. She apparently stated at the time, “I didn’t want to get in.”

Her mother then added that watching her daughter get into the officer’s car and then scream for help was a “nightmare.” When she arrived at the Juvenile Justice Center, which is located in downtown Houston, she was fingerprinted, locked inside for four days, and forced to wear a jumpsuit.

The 10-year-old spoke about her ordeal, stating, “And that was my first time being there and I was scared. I thought something was going to happen to me.”

Her lawyer has stated that the case is simply a misunderstanding that involved “inappropriate horseplay” that went “a bit too far.” The girl is set to return to court later this month, and if she is found guilty of the crime, she might be registered as a sex offender.
