Two Boston Police Officers, Suspect Shot, One Man At Large


Two Boston Police officers were shot this afternoon, but the wounds they sustained appear to be not life threatening.

Information on the Boston Police officers shot is currently scant, but the city’s official BPD Twitter account has posted several updates and indicates a media conference is set to begin momentarily.

The BPD shooting happened early Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Shepton Terrace, and one suspect was also wounded. The third injured party also survived the shooting and has been placed under traumatic arrest while Boston Police search for a second suspect.

According to MyFoxBoston, police in Boston released a description of the second man sought after the two officers were shot:

“One suspect is in custody; however, police are seeking a second suspect. The second suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion. He has a slim build and braided hair. He is currently wearing a maroon shirt with stripes.”

Over on Twitter, several tweets from the BPD official account have addressed the incident, and the department’s social media team has done a good job of keeping Bostonians updated on the developing situation.
