Policewoman Porn Photos Elicits Her Resignation

policewoman quits over porn photos

A multitasking veteran police officer has quit the force after she was allegedly caught posting nude pictures online while on duty.

In other words, the illicit photos elicted her resignation.

The Daytona Beach, Fla., officer is identified in media reports as Sgt. Penny Dane, who was only a few years shy of her full pension.

A report posted at clickOrlando.com indicates that “According to an internal affairs investigation, Sgt. Dane admitted she accessed and sent sexually explicit pictures as part of an online game called ‘Red Light Center.’ The game is likened to a virtual sex club and resembles Amsterdam’s Red Light district.”

Sgt. Dane reportedly used police department computers, including the laptop in her patrol car, to send out hundreds of “extremely pornographic” images, including of herself some taken while she wearing her uniform, said the “flabbergasted” Daytona Beach police chief. For some reason she even used her work email address rather than a personal one to share this adult content.

Sgt. Dane was still able to respond to police calls, however, when all this extra-curricular activity was going on.

Ironically perhaps, the sergeant seems to have blown the whistle on herself. “Investigators were tipped off by Dane herself when she accused another officer of sexual harassment. After a review of her own e-mails, the self-incriminating evidence was discovered. [The police chief] said Dane’s sexual harassment claims later proved false.”

The officer was subject to discipline on two previous occasions, including once for tanning while on duty, according to WFTV.

Back in October, a police lieutenant in Tuscon, Ariz., was demoted to sergeant following an internal affairs investigation after she allegedly sexted a subordinate officer explicit photos and videos of herself while wearing her police uniform. The recipient apparently passed along the images to other cops too.
