Miley Cyrus: ‘We Can’t Stop’ Is About Ecstasy

Miley Cyrus finally admitted that her single We Can’t Stop is about ecstasy.

Since radio stations would have balked at the idea of playing a song that promotes drug use, the singer admitted that she lied about the tune’s lyrical content. Now that she has a certified hit on her hands, Cyrus decided to come clean.

We Can’t Stop contains the line “dancing with molly,” which is a thinly-veiled reference to the drug. However, the song’s producer originally said Cyrus was singing “dancing with Miley.”

During her chat with the Daily Mail, the singer admitted that the tune contains references to ecstasy. Hannah Montana would probably not approve.

“If you’re aged ten [the lyric is] Miley. If you know what I’m talking about then you know. I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they’ve already had to edit it so much,” Miley Cyrus explained.

She continued, “I don’t think people have a hard time understanding that I’ve grown up. You can Google me and you know what I’m up to — you know what the lyric is saying.”

The singer also discussed her displeasure with how her video has been edited for UK viewers.

“I just think the world is so lame because you can shoot people in a movie and you can let people like [George] Zimmerman off on trial, but you can’t have someone going like this [Cyrus stimulates oral sex gesture]. That is so dumb to me,” Cyrus said.

She added, “The last thing people need to worry about is my cute little video for ‘We Can’t Stop,’ you know what I mean?”

Her trip to the UK wasn’t all drugs and controversy. Miley Cyrus also managed to do some serious “damage” at the Chanel store in London. The fruits of her shopping spree can be seen below.
