‘Real World’ Star Arrested For Sexual Battery
Real World: Las Vegas star Dustin Lito was arrested for sexual battery over the weekend.
Authorities explained that Zito was taken into custody at a Lafayette, Louisiana bar during the early hours of Sunday morning. The former reality TV star was among several patrons who remained at the establishment after closing time.
According to The Huffington Post, the Real World star was arrested after an unidentified female told police that Dustin Lito had reached under her dress while she was at a cigarette machine. The Real War star was reportedly “very intoxicated” at the time.
When asked about the incident, Zito said “the female victim should be thankful that he reached up her dress since he is a TV star and several girls wish for that to happen to them.”
Zito refused to leave City Bar when he was approached by police. Officers stated in their report that the Real World: Las Vegas alum resisted arrest by physically pulling away. The Daily Mail explains that his behavior ultimately resulted in a showdown between Zito and authorities.
“The subject also began to grab officer and pull officer to the ground as the struggle continued,” police explained.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office said that Dustin Zito was arrested for sexual battery, resisting an officer, remaining in places, and disturbing the peace. He was later released on $26,000 bond. He was expected to appear in court to address the charges on Tuesday (July 16).
It didn’t take long for the Real World star to start posting about his encounter with police on Twitter. Zito also mentioned Domingue’s BailBonds in one of his recent tweets.
