Man Steals 800 Books To Find The Meaning Of Life
A young man from Nanjing, China, has been arrested after stealing more than 800 social science textbooks, history compendiums, and poetry books from a book shop in town.
Once police asked him why he had done it, he stated that he was searching for “the meaning of life” within the books’ pages, according to Rocket News 24.
Sources say that, when a book shop owner noticed that a large amount of highbrow material was disappearing from his store including social science, history, and poetry books, he contacted police, who sent a plainclothes officer to keep watch for the thief.
Once the plainclothes officer was in place, the police noticed a single young man who came into the store frequently and leaving with several books every time.
When police questioned the suspect, Lee, he admitted to have been stealing books from the store since February.
This isn’t the only odd bit of theft news going around. The Inquisitr reported earlier that a California student used stolen passwords to elect himself into the university’s student government. That student ended up getting himself a year in prison.
Prosecutors in the case say the 22-year-old college student intended to use the stolen password information to rig online elections for student body.
An investigation showed that Weaver had used keylogging software on school computers to accumulate passwords and log in information of hundreds of California State University students.

Lee stated that, since he started stealing book in February, he has grown a collection of more than 800 books in less than six months.
Reports say that, after Li would read the books, he would go and sell them.
Msn NOW reported Lee saying: “I couldn’t comprehend the meaning of life,” he said. “I was hoping to find the answer by reading those books.”
