Residents of Guatemala City may be thinking the world is trying to swallow them after the mother of all sinkholes appeared in a city street.
The Guatemala sinkhole opened up on Sunday in Guatemala City following a drenching by tropical storm Agatha.
The depth of the sinkhole is unknown at this stage, but as you can see from the pictures, it appears to be rather deep.
Some discussion around the Guatemala sinkhole (or Guatemala crater as some are calling it) is suggesting that the picture is photoshopped: we can’t say for sure that it isn’t, but we do know the source of the photos: both come from the Guatemala Government.

Hey, I live in Guatemala and the photos are real!!!! As a matter of fact, there WAS another sinkhole, just bigger, in the same area (2 km. away from this one). The one on the photo is “only” 30mts. deep.
