Miley Cyrus Sings About Drugs On New Single, Leaves Disney Days Behind

Remember when Miley Cyrus was the squeaky clean star of Disney’s Hannah Montana? Those days are long gone now that the singer has dropped a new single about doing drugs and shaking her money maker at a strip club.

The new single We Can’t Stop was released on Monday, and the single is a drastic departure from Miley’s songs of the past. Miley’s former songs wreaked of inspiration and G rated lyrics.

Miley Cyrus on her new track sings about “dancing with molly,” a term that refers to the main ingredient in the drug ecstasy.

Other notable lyrics talk about “getting turnt up” and “shaking it” like a stripper.

Speaking on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Monday, Miley Cyrus said of her new adult turn:

“Everyone always judges and says what they want, but my fans have really stood by me no matter what I’ve been through and this is a song that says where I’m at in my life right now.”

In the song Cyrus sings: “Remember only God can judge us/ Forget the haters cause somebody loves ya.”

Miley then belts out: “It’s our party we can do what we want to/It’s our house we can love who we want to/It’s our song we can sing if we want to/It’s my mouth I can say what I want to.”

Young stars often show their rebellious side as they age into the Hollywood business. In Miley Cyrus’ case, she was at one time the biggest star on the planet, and that celebrity appears to be leading to her new path towards self discovery.

Miley Cyrus has been a bit more open about her drug use since her famous bong photo made the rounds. It looks as if “We Can’t Stop” is her next step on admitting openly to her love of drugs.

Perhaps this is just Miley Cyrus attempting to reinvent herself with a new song that she promoted by wearing a new monokini outfit.
