Burger King Robbery Foiled After Employee Steals Getaway Car

Two robber’s plans to rob a Burger King were foiled after an employee was able to sneak out of the attack and steal their getaway car.

It has been reported that the ordeal started when two men ran into the fast food restaurant and then pulled out their weapons to demand the cash from the till.

However as this incident was taking place, another Burger King employee who was in the back of the restaurant working in the kitchen found enough time to sneak out of the back door. When outside he then noticed the suspect’s getaway car running.

He then decided to jump into automobile and drive away, leaving the two robbers stranded. Stockton police officer, Joe Silva, remarked, “I haven’t heard of any employee actually leaving a business, getting inside the suspect vehicle and trying to hide it.”

It has been stated that the Burger King employee then drove the car around the corner and hid it from view of the two robbers. The two robbers, 23-year-old Jeremy Lovitt and 19 year-old Gabriel Gonzales, then exited the building before panicing and fleeing to a near-by field on foot.

Silva then stated, “The quick action from this employee did allow our officers to get on scene and arrest the suspects.” The duo were then picked up almost instantly by police officers before being booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.

Stockton police did make sure to remind citizens though that individuals being robbed should always simply comply with their assailants for their own safety.

This robbery misdemeanour comes just weeks after a McDonald’s employee couldn’t believe her luck when her own stolen car pulled up to her drive-thru window just hours after it had been taken from her home. McDonald’s employees then conspired to keep the automobile stuck in the car park as they called the police.
