Terrence Howard Settles Divorce Case

Terrence Howard has reportedly settled his very bitter divorce case.

Although the Iron Man star and his wife were battling over their joint finances, it would appear that Howard has walked away with the majority of their property and assets.

The folks over at TMZ managed to get their hands on a copy of the divorce order. In addition to getting all 25 of his bank accounts, Terrence Howard gets to keep both of the houses he owns in Pennsylvania.

Michelle Ghent, on the other hand, isn’t getting too much out of the deal. Although will be able to keep a bicycle and a BMW, she will be forced to hand over her ex-husband’s 2011 Range Rover. However, Terrence Howard’s ex isn’t going away completely empty-handed. The Hustle & Flow star will be required to pay $5,800 a month in spousal support over the next three years. Given that the award-winning actor commands a hefty salary these days, he shouldn’t have too much trouble making these payments.

Court documents also showed that both parities accused one another of physical and verbal abuse. Howard and Ghent also said that the other was guilty of extortion.

Terrence Howard and Michelle Ghent were engaged for eight months before tying the knot in 2010. Wedded bliss didn’t last for very long; Ghent reportedly filed for divorce in 2011. Soon after the documents were filed, a series of nasty rumors started making the rounds.

The Daily Beast reported in January of 2012 that Ghent had accused Howard of punching her in the face after she discovered he had a secret cell phone. The actor stated that the opposite was true. He claimed that his ex-wife punched several times while calling him racial slurs.
