Poppy Montgomery Baby: ‘Unforgettable’ Star Welcomes Daughter With Boyfriend Shawn Sanford

Unforgettable star Poppy Montgomery is a mom for the second time!

Earlier this week, the 37-year-old actress welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into the world with her boyfriend, Shawn Sanford, a marketing director at Microsoft.

According to People magazine, Violet Grace Devereux Sanford arrived 7:57am on Monday, April 22.

She weighed in at 6lbs, 12oz and measured 19.5 inches long.

“We are overjoyed with the arrival of our beautiful angel and filled with gratitude that she is happy, healthy and thriving,” Montgomery told People.

CBS notes Violet is the latest child in the Montgomery’s family of women named after flowers including her mother Poppy Petal and her aunts Daisy Yellow, Rosie Thorn, Lily Belle, and Marigold Sun.

Violet joins a big brother, Jackson, 5, Montgomery’s son from a previous relationship with Without a Trace actor Adam Kaufman.

Poppy first announced her pregnancy in January. At the time, she admitted one of her hardest obstacles was fighting her bizarre food cravings.

“Little pieces of sushi talked to me in my sleep. Oysters lined up and did the samba,” she shared.

In addition to her duties as a mom, Montgomery is also busy preparing for the second season of CBS’ crime/mystery series Unforgettable.

The show, which kicks off this summer, centers around the life of Carrie Wells (Montgomery), a NY Police detective with Hyperthymesia, a rare medical condition that gives her the ability to visually remember everything.

Prior to Unforgettable, Montgomery played FBI Agent Samantha Spade on the CBS drama Without a Trace, which ran from September 2002 to May 2009.
