Deadliest Catch Star Missing In Season 9 Sneak Peek [Video]

elliott neese

The Deadliest Catch is about to embark on its ninth season but there is one person noticeably missing from the action: Elliott Neese.

Neese, who leads the Ramblin’ Rose crew into perilous seas, was not on deck for the season preview. The episode doesn’t air until April 16 but a preview for the season was released today.

The sneak peek shows all of the other captains and crews preparing their boats but Deadliest Catch star Elliott Neese is nowhere to be seen.

Scott Campbell of the Seabrooke said: “Elliot should be here. He should be ready to go.”

Neese, who is the youngest captain on the show, struggled during last season in rough waters.

The exact reason for Neese’s absence hasn’t been explained but Sig Hansen, captain of the Northwestern, believes that Neese may have been fired from his job.

Hansen said: “In all honesty, I’m kinda not surprised Elliott isn’t here this year … No owner is going to let a guy run a boat and not produce. You’re going to lose your job.”

Here’s a preview for the ninth season of the Discovery show.

Do you think The Deadliest Catch star will be missing from this season? You can get your answer to that question below but if you’re a diehard fan and want your news to come as slow as television, then be warned, there be spoilers ahead.

Neese will be returning to the show this year. In a press release for the upcoming season, Discovery wrote about Neese’s financial problems and said that the young captain was “all in” for season nine.

Discovery writes: “The youngest skipper in the fleet, Elliott Neese, is all in this year as he returns as the owner of his own boat, the F/V Saga. With more than $1 million in the hole and 10 bucks to his name, the stakes have never been higher for Neese.”

So yes, he won’t be the captain of the Ramblin’ Rose but he will be back in his own boat.

OH THANK GOD! I read the headline for this story & thought something happened to Jake H. I was praying when I clicked on the story that he was ok! I wish Jake & Josh the best, & hope Jake can pull through. I'd love to see them working together again!

Elliot is a self centered know it all punk. He needs to be knocked down a few pegs and tought how to treat people.

  3. Rick Newmoyer

this guy is not a real captain. the last season proved it.

  4. Rick Buchanan

Elliot lets his personal life get in the way of his duties as a Cap'n.He needs to think about his Bosses and #1..his crews needs..waa waa Elliot, grow up, man up!

Oh thank goodness! I would literally die on one of those ships and I know it. There is no doubt that every man has it hard on those boats but the Captain needs to be the leader and set an example, not act like a whiney little baby. Who could feel sorry for him or respect him. I felt sorry for the crew that had to deal with his bullshit.

I saw him while watching the online sneak peak. He was in the wheelhouse of the Saga. Apparently the writers didn't pay attention. Go get them Elliott!

Elliot will be back no doubt as this is being built up too much for there to be no satisfying climax , but other than that I agree completely with Jessica.

Loudmouth punk is too nice. Hope he has his head on straight this season with the safety of his crew being foremost important. Last season what he put them through was just plain ignorant.

Good riddance! He's wild and reckless and puts his crew in danger that should easily be avoided..

This show was becoming a bore anyways. I expected to see some fighting among deckhands with some being thrown into the churning ocean or stuffed, head first into the crab tanks. Sadly, none of those have occurred so I'm currently looking for a show where people actually die.

he put his crew in danger, put his "bosses"boat in danger and didn't fill it.then on top of that personal family problems.yeah one can fish, but one will always be a parent. regardless if you aren't there or not. we all make our choices.

I really liked the guy. I think they showed him that way because every reality show has to have a villain & he was it. I thought his wife acted like a spoiled immature brat and I never think a mother or father should deny the other parent access to the children even if it has to be supervised. Children don't understand. They just love mommy or daddy unconditionally so if you protect them, they benefit from seeing their parent. I think he got the shaft on this show and in his personal life. Whever you are Elliot…I'm a fan….and a grandmother so no shady reasons for it here.
