HTC Olympian, A Super High End Android Smartphone On The Horizon

HTC Supersonic

HTC loves to push the envelop and now we’ve learned that the HTC Olympian (Codename) may be arriving before the end of the summer, while sporting an ultra fast 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Google Android 2.2.

The 1.5GHz Qualcomm chipset is a dual-core option that was spotted at CES in January and raised quite a few eyebrows for its speedy response times and low power options. WiMAX is also rumored to be a possibility on the device via Sprint’s 4G network.

The Olympian has been kept under wraps by HTC, however it is strongly believed to be a follow-up to the HTC Supersonic (pictured) which could hit the Sprint network by March.

The unit is also expected to playback 1080p video with the units dual-core setup, another big selling point for multimedia hungry Smartphone users.

More to follow as soon as HTC plays nice.
