Prince’s new song for the Vikings, “Purple and Gold”
The artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince has created a new song in praise of the Minnesota Vikings.
The undeniably fey singer created a fight song for the team, apparently with the help of a Casio keyboard from the 80s. It’s a bit… well, it’s not very fight-y. In fact, it’s kind of limp-wrist-y. There’s something very not-football sounding about the song. Apparently Prince is a huge Vikings fan and he even owns a skybox at the Hubert Humphrey Metrodome where he attends most games, probably not even wearing women’s lingerie while he does so.
