‘South Park’ Creator Trey Parker To Become A First-Time Dad

South Park creator Trey Parker is about to become a first-time dad.

Parker’s partner Boogie Tillmon is currently expecting the couple’s first child together. The two have been dating for several years and live together with her 11-year-old son from a previous relationship. Tillmon showed off her pregnant belly on the red carpet in London’s West End during a press night for The Book of Mormon.

The West End production of the 2011 Tony Award-winning play debuted on February 25, 2013 at the Prince of Wales Theatre. The London cast also hosted a gala performance on March 13 to raise money for Red Nose Day, which is the highlight of Comic Relief, a British charity.

Parker will have a little more free time to spend with the new addition. In January, Parker and co-creator Matt Stone reduced the episode order of the upcoming season of South Park to 10 episodes, instead of the usual 14. Stone said there was no particular reason behind the decision to cut four episodes, just like there was no reason for why he and Parker split up the season into two halves with seven episodes each.

“It just sounded like a good number, and we won’t break up the year so we can more easily do other stuff,” Stone said.

While South Park‘s upcoming seventeenth season has been shortened, it won’t be the last we see of the four potty-mouthed fourth graders. In 2011, Comedy Central renewed the show through 2016, meaning that the series will see at least 20 seasons. South Park debuted in 1997, but originally began as two animated shorts Parker and Stone created in 1992 and 1995. The 1995 short became one of the first viral videos in the early days of the Internet, and ultimately ended up getting picked up for production as a series. After 16 seasons, it remains one of Comedy Central’s highest rated shows.

Congratulations to Trey Parker and Boogie Tillmon.
