James Lafferty, Mandy Moore, Terry O’Quinn Score TV Pilots

The Inquisitr has another set of TV pilot announcements. Although announcements from pilot season are slowing down a bit, we still have some exciting things to talk about in terms of familiar faces that might just turn up on your screen if everything goes well come upfront week.

One Tree Hill’s James Lafferty has scored his first pilot since his show ended. In this drama centered pilot, the show, which is also categorized as an action thriller, is set in Washington, DC as it follows a man named Marcus Finley who is an idealistic Secret Service agent and is put at the center of an international crises while on his first day at his job, when the President’s son, and his classmates are kidnapped. In the pilot Lafferty plays a private school instructor who is kidnapped with the kids.

Next up is singer turned actress Mandy Moore. Last week we reported that Moore exited from the ABC’s single-camera pilot Pulling. It looks like she had something else up her sleeve. Now Moore has jumped ship to CBS/Warner Bros for a drama titled The Advocates. The show, which is written by Bruno Heller centers on a lawyer (Ben McKenzie) who teams up with Moore as “victim advocates” going rogue to fight for the “underdog.” Previously Moore had a very intense arc on medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.

Lastly Terry O’Quinn, an actor who hasn’t been a stranger to being involved in great television lands himself in another project. O’Quinn, whose recent success was on Lose, landed Fox’s Gang Related drama. In the show titled Gang Related, O’Quinn plays a tough police chief who “oversees the Gang Task Force.” O’Quinn has replaced Tom Berenger, who was originally in the role when the pilot was first announced.
