Charlize Theron Helps Guard Who Suffered Seizure Before Oscars

Charlize Theron helped a guard who suffered a seizure just before the Academy Awards — and did it in a full-length gown and heels.

The star apparently rushed to help the guard, who suffered a serious medical event at the Dolby Theater just before the Oscars began, E! News reported. As one of the few people around when the man suffered his seizure, Charlize Theron sprang into action to help the guard, attempting to get him back to his feet as someone else called a doctor.

Those in the audience at the theater and watching at home had not idea of the drama that took place before the show once Theron got on stage. She was part of a dance number alongside Channing Tatum during the show.

After the show, Charlize Theron talked about her nerves on stage but never mentioned helping the guard, WENN noted.

“(It was) completely nerve-wracking, but how could I not dance with Channing Tatum? He’s so wonderful!,” she said.

“I was sort of tricked into it. I thought it was going to be something smaller, like he (MacFarlane) pulls me up from the audience and we do a little spin. But then he was was like, ‘Rehearsals start Monday!’ ”

Later in the night, Theron moved on to an Oscar after-party at The Lot in West Hollywood, where she talked to host Seth MacFarlane and complimented him on a job well done. She seemed in good spirits for having just performed on stage and possibly saving a man’s life, and reportedly didn’t even sweat it when other parygoers stepped on the train of her white Dior gown, omg! reported.

“Don’t worry, everyone does it,” Theron told them.

There was no update on the condition of the guard who Charlize Theron helped.
