Kanye West Won’t Appear On ‘Kardashians’ Because It’s ‘Bad For His Image’

Kanye West allegedly won’t appear on Keeping Up with the Kardashians because he thinks it would be “bad for his image” even though dating Kim doesn’t seem to bother him.

Kanye’s absence from Kim’s various reality shows has struck some fans as odd. Radar reports that West’s resistance to appearing on shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians is over fears regarding his image. He has, thus far, agreed to a few cameo appearances in Season 8.

“He has made several brief appearances on the Kardashian reality shows, but wants nothing to do with future filming,” said a source. “Kanye’s team believes it’s bad for his image and brand to appear on a reality show because it makes him look cheap. And, Kim isn’t pushing the issue at all as she knows Kanye won’t bend on it.”

The Huffington Post reports that Season 8 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians premieres summer 2013 and that Season 9 will be the show’s last.

Though Kim Kardashian herself denied rumors that she’s leaving the show, she did say in a recent interview that West has “taught [her] a lot about privacy.”

“I’m realizing everyone doesn’t need to know everything,” she said. “I’m shifting my priorities.”

Hollywood Life claims that Kardashian does want to leave the show and that Kris Jenner blames West.

“In spite of what Kim wrote today, she does want to quit the show, [and] Kris is flipping out,” said a source. “[Kris] thinks the show will be nothing without Kim, and she is pissed at Kanye [West] for steering Kim towards quitting. It is a really screwed up situation over there right now.”

This report comes in response to a post to Kim Kardashian’s blog in which she writes “I’m looking forward to the new season and beyond.”
