Mom Charged In Stripper Party For 16-Year-Old Son

A New York mother has been arrested after allegedly hiring strippers for her son’s 16th birthday party, and 33-year-old Judy Viger has been charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child after the wild sweet sixteen.

The mother was arrested for hiring strippers for the 16-year-old after the party, and Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy said that it wasn’t just her son exposed to the hedonistic teenage fete. Murphy explains:

“The charges stem from an allegation that she endangered not only the welfare of her own child, but the welfare of the 14- and 15-year-old children that were at the birthday party as well.”

According to RawStory, the mother of the 16-year-old boy was arrested after fellow parents of children in attendance at the bowling party bash exposed to the strippers’ presence at the event complained to police, and provided more detail about the fete. The site explains:

“Outraged parents of the young teens contacted the media and the police. Officials were originally told the strippers were just a ‘bikini gram,’ but authorities learned otherwise after viewing pictures and talking to witnesses about the event.”

In the jurisdiction in which the 16-year-old’s mom was charged for her role in the stripper party, the count of endangering the welfare of a child is defined as “knowingly acting in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental or moral welfare of a child younger than 17.”

If the boy’s mom is convicted for the strippers at the 16-year-old’s party, she faces up to one year in prison.
