Paul Walker Signs Up For Luc Besson’s ‘Brick Mansions’

Action star Paul Walker has reportedly signed on to star in producer Luc Besson’s Brick Mansions.

The film is a remake of the impressive French action film District B13, which is also known as B13. According to Cinema Blend, Walker will star as a cop who is charged with finding an explosive device hidden inside a dangerous ghetto. In order to gain access, he will join forces with the street savvy fighter named Lin.

Fans of the original film and its sequel will no doubt be thrilled with the inclusion of David Belle. The actor, athlete, and inventor of Parkour stars as Lin in the upcoming remake.

Deadline reports that Besson will produce Brick Mansions through EuropaCorp while Camille Delamarre will direct the picture. Besson will also co-write the script with Taken scribe Robert Mark Kamen.

Now that Paul Walker is attached to star in the District B13 remake, the actor finds himself at the forefront of no less than three action-packed properties. In addition to the long-running Fast and the Furious franchise, Walker has been selected to portray Agent 47 in the forthcoming Hitman reboot.

Along with the Fast and Furious 6, Paul Walker is also set to drop The Hours later this year. Written and directed by Eric Heisserer, the film finds the Running Scared star tackling the role of a father who is trying to save his newborn baby’s life during Hurricane Katrina.
