‘Honey Boo Boo’ Mom On ‘DWTS?’ TLC Claims It Isn’t Happening

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star June Shannon will not be appearing on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.

Although rumors have been circulating that Honey Boo Boo’s mom would appear on DWTS, it would appear this simply isn’t the case. The Huffington Post reports that TLC has confirmed that Shannon will not be a contestant on the dance competition.

The story was first reported by the folks at the New York Daily News, who claimed the reality television star was being courted by DWTS producers. Unfortunately for fans of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, June Shannon will not be competing.

The website also reports that Emily Maynard, Kourtney Kardashian, and boxer Victor Ortiz are being pursued by Dancing with the Stars as well. However, nothing about their involvement has been officially confirmed or denied by anyone as of this writing.

Instead of preparing for her rumored turn on the ABC dancing show, June Shannon and her family made a trip to Orlando, Florida to take part in Universal Studio’s Mardi Gras celebration. According to E! Online, the stars of TLC’s hit reality kept everything family-friendly during their stay.

June Shannon wrote on Facebook:

“Just left the Mardi Gras celebration at Universal Studio in FL. Our tour guide Jesse was awesome we had a BLAST today!!! Thanks to all the other employees for their kindness & generosity as well! And it was great seeing some of our fans there hope y’all had as fun as we did!”

Although June Shannon and her family update the official Alana Thompson Facebook page, she hasn’t addressed the recent Dancing with the Stars rumors as of this writing. Since TLC says she isn’t going to participate, chances are Shannon won’t appear on the program.

Are you a fan of Dancing with the Stars? Are you disappointed that Honey Boo Boo’s mom won’t appear on the competition?
