A lot of the buzz surrounding Rise of the Triad is being generated by those of us who grew up in the 90s. The title was originally released during the days of shareware, which is essentially a fancy of releasing a demo and getting gamers to pay for the final product.
The inclusion of springboards and hidden rooms is good news for fans of the original game. However, it’s unknown if the infamous “Dog Mode” will make a return as well.
Interceptor CEO Frederik Schreiber said of the reboot:
“Apogee has given us a great opportunity with Rise of the Triad. We are all about fast paced action and this was simply a perfect match for us as fans of old school shooters.”
