The Strokes’ New Album Will Be Released In March

The Strokes have announced that their new album, Comedown Machine, will be released on March 25.

A single, entitled “All The Time,” will also be released a few weeks before the LP. If you haven’t heard their latest song, “One Way Trigger,” you can visit the band’s website to download it for free.

The Strokes last album, Angles, was released in 2011 and received mixed reviews from music critics. It has been reported that the band worked on their new material at the famous Electric Lady Studios in New York City, but these accusations were denied by their management and record label.

However, the father of a guitarist for the band, Albert Hammond, Jr., claimed that these rumors were true and that the band had almost completed their album earlier this month.

Hammond, Sr., said, “Albert says that the stuff they’re doing is incredible. They’re doing it themselves with their friend, engineer, and producer. He just says, ‘Dad, its incredible’.”

The Strokes’ record label, Rough Trade, confirmed that they would be returning later this year, whilst the title for this record was discovered on an album sleeve by fans who found an errant link in the coding of the band’s official website on the evening of January 29.

Alongside Angles and the forthcoming Comedown Machine, their previous albums have included 2006’s First Impressions of Earth, 2003’s Room on Fire, and 2001’s Is This It, which launched the band’s career and was instantly hailed as one of the best albums of the decade.
