ESPN Reporters Accidentally Share Tim Tebow Gossip On Air [Video]

espn tim tebow

If you were watching ESPN today you may have witnessed something extremely rare on the sports channel: Someone actually saying something bad about Tim Tebow.

Reporters Hannah Storm and Mark Schlereth were having a “private chat”today during the media day in New Orleans. Only the chat wasn’t so private. The cameras were actually rolling and the audience could hear Schlereth trash talking Tebow to Storm.

Schlereth doesn’t say anything particular damaging (or interesting) about Tim Tebow but he does share the news like a schoolyard gossip.

Schlereth said:

“I’m going to tell you. I talked to a bunch of Broncos coaches who said ‘I just don’t know if (Tebow’s) a fluid enough athlete to go over and play tight end … they say he doesn’t catch the ball naturally either.”

Tim Tebow is a quarterback despite what the Jets tried to do with him this year so it shouldn’t really be considered insulting that he can’t “naturally” make the move to tight end. How would Peyton Manning look if he had to run instead of throw? Can you picture Tom Brady actually taking a hit?

The gossip isn’t particularly interesting but hey, a blooper is a blooper.

Here’s the video of Schlereth insulting Tim Tebow on ESPN.

How is this "gossip"? Tebow is a Professional Football player and the announcers are on a sports network discussing football. You think they don't talk about players, coaches, teams etc off the air? Nothing newsworthy here, keep moving people.

"Tim Tebow is a quarterback despite what the Jets tried to do with him this year so it shouldn’t really be considered insulting that he can’t “naturally” make the move to tight end." Tebow was a college quarterback and he'll never make it in that position in the NFL. There are plenty of college qbs playing other positions in the NFL. They seem to handle it alright.

Geez the writer of this tripe starts out by saying that Schlereth is talking trash about Tebow to "well he really didn't say anything bad about him but he sure gossips like a girl". What a bunch of crap. Man up or don't print this trash. No wonder journalism has gone down the shitter and it is all because of a bunch of idiot hack bloggers.

How would Manning or Brady look catching a ball? About as awkward as Tebow looks trying to throw one. He will NEVER be a QB in the NFL. Period.

He's already BEEN a QB in the NFL for three years and has taken one team to the playoffs….or did you miss that? Plus, if the Jets had given him a chance he couldn't have done any worse than that idiot they were playing. My guess is that he would have won several more games for the Jets. But, ole Rex was scared to death that he just MIGHT show up Sanchez. It's a funny thing to me that practically NO ONE paid attention to what the retiring (and well-respected) special teams coach of the Jets said. It reminds me of when I was in the military many years ago….if you happened to be religious (which I wasn't), you were absolutely harassed, hounded, and abused. That's Tebow's biggest problem. If he shoots someone, starts getting thrown out of strip bars, and slaps his woman around, you'd be amazed at how many teams would suddenly show interest!
