‘RHOA’ Star NeNe Leakes And Ex-Husband Gregg Getting Remarried [Photos]

Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes and her ex-husband Gregg Leakes are getting remarried.

The couple’s divorce was made public in April of last year, but their marriage had actually been over for around six months prior to that. NeNe Leakes reportedly filed for divorce on April 29, 2010. It was finalized on September 29, 2011, right after the fourth season of RHOA had finished filming, which was why many people were unaware that they were no longer together.

After the divorce, there were rumors and speculation that NeNe and Gregg were going to get back together. And now those rumors have come to fruition, as Gregg proposed to Nene just after midnight on New Year’s Eve.

NeNe posted a photo of her and Gregg at 12:01 am with the message, “Happy New Year from the Leakes.” She then posted photos of flowers and candles and other romantic gestures before posting in two separate updates, “My answer was … Yes”

NeNe Leakes told Sister 2 Sister that she never wanted to divorce Gregg. She said they divorced during the year that he had moved out, but they remained friends and there was “nothing left to fight about.” As season five of RHOA began filming, the two were officially back together.

“I’m very loyal and I was very committed to Gregg,” Leakes said. “I always wanted to stay married.”

A spinoff of Real Housewives called I Dream of NeNe was being pursued by Bravo, and it may document the Leakes’ reconciliation. The name of the series had been taken from a RHOA episode of the same name. The show is currently not in production or being developed, but producers are keeping their options for the series open.
