Five people died in a tour bus crash Sunday on an icy interstate in Oregon, which injured about 20 others.
Police say the bus lost control around 10:30 am on Interstate 84, says the Seattle PI. The bus plowed through a guardrail and went down an embankment a few hundred feet.
Emergency workers used ropes to help rescue people from the crash scene. Oregon police said the charter bus had been carrying about 40 people. The destination and origin is yet unknown, according to ABC News.
The icy road conditions also caused a fatal rollover accident earlier with a 69-year-old man who is now dead.
State police have not released information on the company that owns the bus, but information will be released as the story develops.
