Sheree Whitfield: Ex-Real Housewives Of Atlanta Star Loses Legal Fight Against Own Attorneys

Ex-Real Housewives Of Atlanta cast member Sheree Whitfield has lost a legal fight against her own attorneys.

The case stems from law firm,Weinstock and Scavo’s, representation of Whitfield back in 2007 when she divorced her then husband, NFL player Bob Whitfield.

According to TMZ, after the couples’ divorce was finalized Weinstock and Scavo invoiced Sheree for $165,000, but she turned around and claimed the firm had overcharged her.

Deciding to pay just $69,000, Sheree basically ignored the $96,000 that was still outstanding.

There was only one problem, Weinstock and Scavo didn’t.

Suing Sheree in 2010, the legal eagles went after the reality star for the balance, Cinema Blend reports.

Fast forward to two years later, and the judge in the case not only awarded Weinstock and Scavo the $69,000 they were owed, he added on more than $20,000 as a penalty for late payment.

Whitfield’s total bill now? $119,674.

Sheree departed the Real Housewives of Atlanta show in April this year, citing the “cattiness” of the other women as the reason.

At the time, she said:

“I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck. I’m thrilled to say I’m now a free agent and am already fielding offers.”

Awarded child support from the courts in her divorce from Bob Whitfield, Sheree was denied alimony — later losing an appeal of that decision. Today, the ex-Real Housewife heads up a jewelry line under her brand “She by Sheree.”
