Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot Hoping For Marvel Crossover With DC Universe — Why It Might Be Happening

Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot have been very vocal about their plans in wanting to see Marvel join forces with the DC Universe in what they think would be the ultimate superhero film.

Having repressed his role as Batman for the upcoming Justice League movie, when asked by Channel News Asia, as cited by Hollywood Life, what his thoughts are about a possible collaboration between both studios, Ben Affleck noted that it would be the ultimate goal to see that happen.

Being a huge superhero fan himself, the 45-year-old noted that such a move would not only see the studios make a lot of money but also please millions of fans, who’ve petitioned for this to happen for years now.

With that said, Ben acknowledges that he doesn’t hold that kind of power when it comes to having Marvel and DC come together for a joint movie, but Affleck does stress that it would be beneficial on both ends, especially as far as money is concerned.

Gal Gadot went on to back Ben Affleck’s comments by saying that the characters that Marvel has are so unique and so different to those in the DC Universe, and it would be interesting to see how both sides would interact with one another.

The idea of having a crossover seems to have sat very well with Gadot, who notes that she would ultimately want to see the studios make it happen.

Henry Cavill then went on to conclude by saying that, when it comes down to it, both Marvel and the DC Universe need each other to survive.

If one studio is failing to do well, the other will soon follow, which would evidently mean that superhero films are no longer interested to the public, so instead of letting that happen, a collaborative effort would only strengthen the successful run they’ve already had for the past couple of years.

Justice League is poised to become one of the biggest films of the year, with fans eagerly awaiting to catch the film when it hits theaters this month.
