Simon Cowell Hospitalized, Undergoing Tests After Falling Down Stairs At His London Home

X Factor judge Simon Cowell has been taken to a local hospital for testing after taking a terrible fall down a set of stairs at his London home.

According to People, the 58-year-old went downstairs to get a warm glass of milk because he couldn’t sleep. Variety goes on to report that Cowell had felt dizzy prior to the incident. When he was on his way back up the stairs, that’s when the star fell backwards and took a tumble down a set of stairs.

After the incident, Simon could be seen leaving his London residence sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. this morning. Things didn’t look too good as the X Factor judge had to be wheeled out on a stretcher. The outspoken star was also seen wearing a neck brace as he was whisked away into an ambulance.

“It’s been a scary morning,” Simon’s rep told the Sun.

The Sun also reports that the mogul had been at a Little Mix concert the prior evening. He is currently at a local hospital as he undergoes testing to try and determine what caused him to faint. Cowell is said to be in stable condition.

According to Gossip Cop, Cowell’s girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, was not with him at the time of the fall, as she was back in New York. But as soon as Silverman got the bad news, she immediately boarded a flight back to London.

As many will recall, this is not Simon’s first encounter with health issues as of late. In 2012, Gossip Cop reports that Simon became sick after overworking himself. The 58-year-old told reporters that he was “paralyzed with tiredness” and also said that his immune system was failing. In 2016, Cowell also missed a charity event after he was bedridden with the flu. Most recently, Cowell missed a day of taping The X Factor in July after falling ill. The cause of the illness still remains a mystery.

Of course, it remains to be determined whether Cowell will be able to appear on his hit U.K. show, The X Factor, on Saturday evening. It would mark the first live show of the season, as everything else up to this point was pre-recorded.

Do you think that too much work could have caused Cowell’s fall?
