Keyshia Cole Talks About Her New Album And Relationship With Ex-Husband Daniel Gibson

Keyshia Cole performed her single “Incapable” on the Love and Hip Hop Hollywood reunion show and many fans noticed her ex-husband Daniel Gibson’s reaction. In a recent interview with the Breakfast Club, Keyshia Cole revealed that her new album 11:11 Reset is personal and she did not ask how Daniel “Booby” Gibson how he felt about the performance.

The Grammy-winning singer revealed that she is no longer living with Gibson and said that she allowed him to live with her so that he can maintain a relationship with their son. Keyshia talked to the Breakfast Club hosts about the awkwardness of Booby asking Keyshia for advice about his relationship with Brooke Valentine. Cole stated that her emotions were gone at that point so it wasn’t as awkward as it seemed.

Keyshia explained that her album title is about angel numbers but she later found out that she was born at 11:11.

Charlemagne spoke to the singer about Daniel Gibson’s decision to quit the NBA for a rap career and the radio host said that it was a bad decision. Keyshia Cole agreed with the host who further explained that he could have pursued both careers at the same time.

Keyshia called out her ex-husband Gibson on a comment he made at the Love and Hip Hop Hollywood reunion “I am single now I can do what I want” she added that he was doing what he wanted during their marriage insinuating that he cheated.

While talking about the divorce, she said that her ex-husband can’t keep using God to excuse his behavior. The “Incapable” singer revealed that she used to go back to Gibson after they break up but her emotions started to affect their son and decided it wasn’t worth it.

Keyshia Cole stated that she is not interested in pursuing another relationship but she is getting to know someone. The singer talked about handling the promotional duties for her new album 11:11 Reset and having her own imprint under her record label.

Keyshia did not reveal details about the spousal or child support arrangement with Daniel Gibson and stated that she is looking forward to the divorce being finalized. When pressed by Charlemagne, Keyshia said that Gibson won’t pay her child support.

The singer revealed that she hasn’t spoken to her mother for a while and she is getting along with her biological father and getting to know the other side of her family.
