‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Celebrates The Holidays With New Images [Photos]

Although you may not have received a copy of Grand Theft Auto V this holiday season, the folks at Rockstar haven’t completely forgotten about you.

As a present to the legions of Grand Theft Auto fans around the world, the company has unleashed a brand new batch of images online. Staring at the pics may not be as fun as actually playing the game, but they’re certainly good enough for now.

The latest selection of Grand Theft Auto V screenshots were released on Rockstar’s official blog. The post, entitled “Happy Holidays – Enjoy,” contained no text or explanation. Instead, the company let the pictures speak for themselves.

Three of the images show off some of the game’s numerous vehicles, including what appears to be a tiny yellow submarine. Although Rockstar had previously stated players could explore the ocean floor, this is the first image that showcases one of the vehicles that could possibly take you there.

Grand Theft Auto V will also include sharks. One of the pictures included in the recent batch of images shows an unidentified character swimming above what appears to be a very large shark. These animals could prove problematic during underwater excursions.

According to IGN, players will be able to explore a world of unprecedented size in the next installment of Rockstar’s groundbreaking series. In addition to the depths of the ocean, players will be able to walk, run, and drive their way across a landscape that’s bigger than Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas combined.

The latest batch of images from the open world crime epic are included below.

Gamers will be able to embark on countless adventures throughout Los Santos when Grand Theft Auto V hits retail shelves next spring. Are you looking forward to the next installment of Rockstar’s acclaimed franchise?
