Hummer Won’t Let Semi-Truck Pass On Interstate 20 In Texas After Tossed Can: Scary Road Rage Video Goes Viral

A Hummer went up against a huge semi-truck, as seen in the attached video, in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse on Interstate 20, near Midland and Odessa in Texas. According to KansasCity.com, the viral incident was launched when the driver of the semi-truck allegedly tossed a can out of his truck window, and that can hit the Hummer. Well, if true, it appears the driver of the Hummer wasn’t taking that faux pas lightly, and proceeded to not allow the semi-truck to pass the Hummer on the west Texas highway.

Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter was angered by the viral video, which has been spread via Facebook and other social media outlets. It isn’t clear who recorded the video showing the Hummer constantly getting in the way of the semi-truck as the truck driver tries to pass the Hummer. What is clear is that the Hummer engaged in a dangerous game as the driver of the Hummer appeared to brake closely in front of the truck, and the semi-truck swerved back and forth to try to get around the truck. As reported by News West 9, the Hummer appeared to put plenty of lives in danger on the highway, all over a tossed can that did not cause damage to the Hummer.

Whereas other drivers may have let the incident go, the Hummer continued to move in front of the semi-truck for the entire length of the viral video, which lasts more than two minutes.

With the driver of the Hummer stepping on the brakes, as seen by the Hummer’s brake lights coming on, it was a dangerous situation as it forced the semi-truck to brake very close to the bumper of the Hummer.

Not only did the Hummer driver play a dangerous game, the driver performed illegal maneuvers. According to CBS 7, the driver of the Hummer called police to complain about the driver of the semi-truck tossing a can. That means the semi-truck driver could have received a littering fine – up to $500 for tossing litter on a public roadway – but the actions of the Hummer driver were more dangerous.

Painter said that the semi-truck driver was simply trying to get away from the “crazy guy” driving the Hummer, who committed “numerous violations of the law which he could’ve gone to jail for.”
