‘Counting On’ After-Show Special: Duggars To Be Joined By Special Guests, Dr. Oz’s Daughter Will Host

The Duggars are starring in another Counting On clip show, and this one is going to be a super-sized television event with guest stars, games, and a celebrity host.

This season of Counting On is about to come to an end, but the Duggars are getting a two-part TLC special before they depart from TV. Most of the adult Duggar children will appear on “The After Show” episode. According to People, the first half of the special will air Monday, July 17, at 9 p.m. ET on TLC, and the second part will air at the same time and channel on July 24.

The Duggars will give viewers updates on what’s been going on in their lives since the filming of the July 10 episode of Counting On. When it was filmed, Jill Duggar’s second son, Samuel, was still months away from being born, and Joseph Duggar wasn’t yet planning a wedding. However, while the Duggars have a lot of new life events to discuss, the main focus of “The After Show” will be to take a look back at some of the highlights from this season of Counting On. The older Duggar siblings will share their reactions to clips of some of the most memorable moments from the show, which include a birth, a wedding, and two proposals.

“The After Show” teases some “surprise guests,” and Broadway World spoils the identity of one of them: Joseph Duggar’s fiance, Kendra Caldwell. The Duggars who are in relationships will play a game called “Couples Showdown,” and viewers are promised that they will learn some trivia about the Counting On stars that they’ve never heard before.

“Recalling all of these moments, THE AFTER show captures new insights into THE FAMILY that even the biggest fans didn’t know.”

Daphne Oz, the daughter of Dr. Oz and a co-host on The Chew, recently took to Instagram to announce that she would be hosting the Counting On special. She also shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the stars of the TLC series who took part in “The After Show.” They include Joseph Duggar, Kendra Caldwell, Joy-Anna Duggar, Austin Forsyth, Jessa Duggar, Ben Seewald, Jinger Duggar, and Jeremy Vuolo. The only single Duggars pictured are Jana, John David, and Josiah. Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are not in the photo, so it’s possible that “The After Show” (or at least the first half of it) was filmed while they were still in El Salvador.

There’s no word on whether Counting On has been renewed, but TLC usually tacks on a sneak preview of the show’s next season at the end of the finale. In other words, viewers may find out its fate during the second part of “The After Show.”
