Kim Kardashian Under Fire For Letting North West Wear A Corset, ‘KUWTK’ Star Responds

Kim Kardashian sparked public outrage when her daughter North West was photographed this week wearing what seemed to be a corset over a slip dress. Critics fired at the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star for letting her 4-year-old daughter wear a sexy and age-inappropriate outfit.

The dress in question is a peach satin dress with a cream-colored corset at the chest area. The Daily Mail reported that North West wore the outfit when she stepped out in New York earlier this week, accompanied by an adult. The little fashionista paired the dress with a black Calabasas cap and personalized Yeezy sneakers.

Because corsets are originally intended to be worn as underwear to emphasize a woman’s figure, Kardashian’s critics expressed their shock over this “sexualized” look of North. The photos are now circulating on social media and some of the comments are saying that this is, in no way, an acceptable attire for a child.

Kim Kardashian immediately responded to the issue, defending both the dress and her parenting style. On Wednesday night, the 36-year-old mom of two posted a video on Twitter where she told her haters to “relax.”

She showed that the dress North was wearing was not even a real corset. It was just a “cute” design sewn on top of the slip dress. She added that she “would never” put her daughter in a corset.

Kim and husband Kanye West have a children’s clothing line called The Kids Supply. Just this week, Kim announced on Instagram that they have just added new designs to their online store. These include the custom Yeezy’s for kids and the Calabasas cap that North West paired with her faux-corset dress.

Interestingly, the new collection also includes an animal-printed dress with a lace slit on the thigh. The dress looks very much like an adult slip lingerie, and concerned parents are not happy. The dress’ photo on The Kids Supply Instagram account has received many comments saying that such a design is clearly not for little girls.

“Very inappropriate. I would never have my daughter wear this,” wrote one user.

This week, Kim Kardashian also had to clear up the issue that she’s been using drugs after her social media followers noticed cocaine lines on a table at her hotel room.

“Come on. I don’t play like that. I have kids. It’s just not my lifestyle. I’ve never been like that.”
