Dane-Elec So SuperSpeed External HDD and SSD

Dane-Elec has just announced their newest line of So SuperSpeed hard drives. The new external offerings feature both standard hard drives and Solid State Disks (SSDs) with USB 3.0 high speed data transfer abilities.

USB 3.0 is able to reach speeds of 250MBps, nearly ten times faster than the old USB 2.0 standard.

The external drives range in size from 500GB to 2TB for the standard drives and SSDs come in 80GB and 160GB capacities.

The drives arrive on December 11th with the 500GB HDD running $180 and the SSD’s coming in at $400 and $800 respectively. [Electronista]
